At-home waxing comes with a list of it's own risks and mild burns is at the top. Apple Cider Vinegar
There are very few things that a little bit of apple cider vinegar won't cure. This ingredient is full of natural healing properties, so when it comes to swelling from mild waxing burns, it is your best bet for immediate relief. It is also one of the easiest and fastest ways to relieve the redness and swelling.
Pour a little apple cider vinegar over a dry cloth and dab it over the problem area on your face. Let it dry naturally. You can do this every ten minutes until you see the swelling going down.
Mint is also a natural pain reducer when it comes to mild waxing burns because it full of cooling properties. Because it has high levels of tannic acid, mint tea will help ease the pain from the burn and help your skin heal.
Prepare a pot of mint tea on the stove or in the microwave. Wait until it is cool enough to touch and apply the tea bag to the burn on your face. Apply gentle pressure to the bag and let the tea seep into your skin. You want to hold the tea bag in place for three to five minutes until you start to feel relief and see the swelling and redness go down.
Cucumbers are a great way to relieve the pain from a waxing burn because it is an analgesic and will naturally numb the area that is in pain. The antioxidants in cucumbers will take away the swelling. Adding a little bit of baking soda will give it extra soothing power because it will help neutralize the throbbing around the mild burn.
Blend one half of a cucumber with one-eighth of a cup of baking soda. You can blend them together in a food processor or blender. If you don't have either of those, you can smash the two ingredients together using a spoon a lot of elbow grease. Once they have formed a paste, gently massage it on your face with you are experiencing the burning and swelling. Let it sit for three to five minutes before rinsing it off with cool water.
